Paul McCanny is an experienced golf and hospitality professional with twenty years of experience in the golf industry.
In his position at Portmarnock Resort & Jameson Golf Links he has led substantial links renovation and rebranding projects over the last three years. Following the purchase of the property by Northland Properties in 2019, Paul was appointed to lead and grow the golf operation and his role has been instrumental in improving member and guest experiences at Portmarnock Resort and Jameson Golf Links. A key part of the progress has been the recent multimillion euro links renovation project which aimed to improve the overall golfing experience and has received widespread acclaim among those in the industry.
Paul's began his career as a PGA Assistant golf professional at Black Bush golf club before moving to Birr, Co. Offaly to develop one of Irelands first Trackman academies. In 2011 he was appointed as the first Head golf professional at Killeen Castle as it played host to the Solheim Cup. A successful ten year spell in Co. Meath ended in 2021 when Paul was offered the Director of golf role at the popular Dublin links resort.
