Russell Tobin + Associates is currently seeking a Accountant at Milwaukee, WI 53202 (Hybrid) . This is a 12+ months contract with potential for extension/conversion for successful contractors!

Position: Accountant

Location: Milwaukee, WI 53202 (Hybrid)

Duration: 12+ months, with FTE conversion possible

Pay rate: $27.00-29.00/hr on w2

JOB SUMMARY:

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• The Fund Accounting practice provides value-added services to a robust and rapidly growing client base, which includes mutual funds, hedge funds, private equity funds, offshore funds and other investment companies.
• The Mutual Fund Accountant works as part of a diverse team that supports our clients as well as being invested in your career growth.
• As an integral part of the team, you are responsible for maintaining the general ledger and records of mutual funds of varying complexity and producing end of day net asset value calculation.
• Prepares daily general ledger accounting, prime broker/bank cash reconciliations, advisor/portfolio management processing, corporate action application, expense accrual/payment postings, daily net asset value and mill rate determinations, portfolio pricing analysis/validations, timely internal/external information distributions, portfolio reconciliations, etc.
• Partners with various internal/external administrators, transfer agencies and prime brokers/custodian relationships collaborating on compliance, audit and financials, while ensuring all Fund Accounting functions are following SEC regulations and GAAP principles.

Required skills:

• Min. associate degree in accounting
• Ability to multi-task in fast paced environment

• Accounting knowledge
