Job Description

Job Title: Administrative Assistant (Entry Level)

Location: Somerville, NJ (On-site)

Pay Rate: $19–$21 per hour (based on experience)

Job Type: Full-Time, Contract

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer and direct phone calls in a courteous and professional manner
  • Greet visitors and provide general support to staff and guests
  • Maintain organized filing systems, both digital and paper-based
  • Schedule appointments, meetings, and conference room bookings
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries
  • Assist with data entry, document preparation, and record keeping
  • Order and maintain office supplies inventory
  • Provide general administrative and clerical support to various departments as needed

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required; some college or administrative coursework a plus
  • 0–2 years of relevant office or clerical experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Professional demeanor and willingness to learn
