Job Description

We’re looking for an Analytics Engineer to serve as a core bridge between data engineering and data analysis. You will design, test, and maintain scalable data models within our EDW and provide solutions at scale. In this role, you’ll own transformations using enterprise reporting tools, enforce data quality standards, and optimize solutions for performance and reliability. You’ll collaborate with data engineers on infrastructure and with analysts to deliver well-structured, analytics-ready data.

Responsibilities

  • Data Performance and Automation : Ensure that all data solutions are appropriately delivered providing automation or scalability that is easily reusable, compliant, and highly performant.
  • Data Quality : Establish data quality checks, testing frameworks, and documentation standards for organization (both technical and non-technical).
  • Data Governance : Provide strategic framework of policies, standards, roles, and processes that ensure data is properly accessed across the organization.
  • Data (Access) Systems : Responsible for data access systems including BI tools and database access tools/methods. Monitor, provision access, and work with business stakeholders to define data access policies. Continuously evaluate product(s) to ensure optimal performance and usage.
  • Collaboration and Communication : Work closely with data analysts and engineers to design and maintain semantic layers and shared data definitions for data consistency. Outline requirements necessary for engineers to improve data pipelines and address data reliability issues.
  • Data Stack/Usage Representation : Assess the organization’s data literacy, trust, and overall usage to provide insights on the organization’s data culture; work with data architects, engineers, and analysts to further mature our data-driven culture.

Qualifications

  • Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Desired Experience : 2+ years of experience in a role involving Data Analysis, Data Governance, SQL query writing, and ETL development.
  • Desired Technical Skills :
  • Deep understanding of data security, access, and policies.
  • Understanding of data warehousing concepts and experience with data modeling.
  • Experience with Data Analysis tools and techniques.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with database management systems.
  • Knowledge of modern data stack tools.
  • Understanding and experience to orchestration tools.
  • Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Problem-Solving : Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically to overcome challenges in data management and processing.
