Job Title: Assistant Project Manager

We are a leading mechanical contracting firm specializing in commercial HVAC projects across the Greater New York area. With a strong reputation for delivering high-quality, on-time, and cost-effective solutions, we are looking to expand our team with a driven and detail-oriented Mechanical Assistant Project Manager (APM).

As an APM, you will support the Project Management team in planning, coordinating, and executing commercial HVAC projects from start to finish. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow within the mechanical contracting industry and gain hands-on experience managing large-scale commercial builds.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist Project Managers in overseeing HVAC installations on commercial projects.
• Coordinate with field teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely project execution.
• Track project schedules, budgets, and materials.
• Review drawings, submittals, and specifications for accuracy and compliance.
• Support with documentation, RFIs, change orders, and progress reports.
• Attend site visits and meetings to monitor progress and resolve issues.
• Ensure all work adheres to safety regulations and quality standards.

Requirements:

• 1–3 years of experience in HVAC, mechanical contracting, or construction.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of project management software a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.
• A proactive, team-oriented mindset with a strong desire to learn and grow.
