Job Description

FirstFour Staffing is seeking an Assistant Store Manager on behalf of a rapidly growing, vertically integrated convenience store operator.

SUMMARY

The Assistant Store Manager will oversee employees, monitor inventory, manage schedules, and step into the General Manager’s responsibilities when they are absent.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support hiring, training, and development of team members to achieve performance goals.
  • Monitor sales and financial reports to identify opportunities for growth and profitability.
  • Ensure product rotation, freshness, and food safety standards are consistently met.
  • Control costs through accurate inventory, efficient scheduling, and cash handling practices.
  • Maintain proper store coverage through effective scheduling and task delegation.
  • Oversee signage, price changes, and product merchandising.
  • Provide excellent customer service and resolve issues promptly.
  • Manage inventory levels, vendor deliveries, and ordering as directed by the GM or in their absence.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and state/local regulations.
  • Maintain reliable attendance and foster the same from the team.
  • Promote a positive, collaborative, and inclusive work environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in retail, restaurant, or hospitality management preferred.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate teams.
  • Solid problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Understanding of inventory control, scheduling, and customer service best practices.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

DETAILS

  • Starting pay: $24/hr
  • Full-time schedule, approximately 40 hours per week
