Job title : M&A Associate

Location : Dallas, TX

Salary : $250,000 - $570,000+ (DOE)

Hawkstone Search is proud to be partnered with a national boutique law firm, operating for over 10 years, born from a Top 5 AM-Ranked team that spun off to focus on mid-market private equity matters. With offices across four of the largest financial hubs in the US, these being in California, New York, and Texas. The firm is committed to further expanding its capacity to serve their rapidly growing client base .

In terms of growth, the firm’s NYC office recently increased its headcount capacity by five-fold, with overall Attorney headcount rising by 35% since 2024. This position offers a unique opportunity for Big Law Associates eager to control M&A transactions from inception to close, including funding phases, in a dynamic and client-centric environment.

What’s you’ll be doing:

• Lead and execute complex Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) transactions
• Advise private equity sponsors and strategic clients on growth equity, debt financing, and fund formation
• Support all stages of the private equity lifecycle, from fund formation to acquisition and exit, across various industries
• Collaborate on specialty practice areas, including tax, intellectual property, cybersecurity and data privacy, executive compensation, labor and employment, and environmental

What’s they need:

• J.D. (2018-2022), admitted to practice law (CA/TX)
• Previously experience working on M&A matters across the US & internationally, with a focus on private equity matters, preferably within a Big Law environment
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
• Commitment to a collaborative, inclusive, and client-centric work environment
