Job Title : AV Event Support Technician
Location : Philadelphia, PA (Hybrid; 1-3 days onsite/week)
Duration : 1+ year contract (potential extension/contract-to-hire)
Pay Range : $30-32/hr. (negotiable based on experience)
Summary :
Verigent's client is seeking a skilled AV Event Support Technician to provide hands-on support for virtual, hybrid, and in-person meetings and productions. In this role, you will manage a variety of AV systems and livestreaming tools to ensure seamless experiences for internal teams and executive stakeholders.
Responsibilities :
• Provide day-to-day support for virtual conferencing systems, and hybrid meeting setups.
• Set up, operate, and monitor Microsoft Teams Live Events, Teams Town Halls, and other virtual/hybrid event platforms.
• Operate and manage OBS for live streaming, monitoring scenes, audio/video sources, and real-time adjustments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cameras, microphones, audio DSPs, and control systems in real time.
• Support executives during critical meetings, presentations, and live events with professionalism and discretion.
• Maintain and organize AV equipment, cables, and accessories; ensure rooms are ready for events.
• Collaborate with IT, facilities, and event teams to coordinate AV needs for internal and external virtual and hybrid events.
• Document procedures, update streaming technology inventories, and maintain clear, organized records of AV setups and issues.
• Ability to edit post show content a plus.
Qualifications :
• 4+ years of experience supporting corporate AV, video conferencing systems, or live event production.
• Experience supporting virtual and hybrid events, including setup, production, and live operations.
• Strong knowledge of AV hardware, including cameras, microphones, switchers, audio processors, and room control systems.
• Experience with Microsoft Teams Live Events and/or Teams Town Hall highly preferred.
• OBS experience and familiarity with live streaming workflows.
• Proven ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to support and collaborate with executives and stakeholders.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
