BUYER
The Buyer is responsible for sourcing various commodities essential for production from external suppliers based in North America, utilizing established procurement practices. This role requires the highest standards of personal, professional, and ethical conduct. The Buyer will collaborate directly with suppliers, as well as with teams in new product development, engineering, quality, production, and other departments to support and exceed company objectives and customer expectations.
Responsibility
· Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability. Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers.
· Purchasing: Issue purchase orders, negotiate pricing and terms, and ensure timely delivery of materials.
· Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate supply while minimizing excess stock. Implement strategies to optimize inventory turnover.
· Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the quality control team to ensure materials meet required standards and specifications.
· Cost Management: Analyze market trends and pricing to achieve cost savings without compromising quality.
· Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on purchasing activities, supplier performance, and cost savings.
