We are looking for a Buyer to join our team in Chestertown, MD on the Eastern Shore. If you're an organized and detail oriented individual with a positive attitude, this could be the job for you!

The Buyer will be involved in all aspects of purchasing with domestic as well as international suppliers. Responsibilities include preparing, reviewing and tracking purchase orders through the purchasing process; inputting inventory orders, price changes and updates into the purchasing system; preparing and filing purchasing related documents. Additional responsibilities include procuring materials, equipment and services; ensuring contracts with suppliers are consistent with corporate objectives and participating in contract negotiations with top negotiators.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare, review and track purchase orders through the purchasing process.
• Input inventory purchase orders, price changes and system updates
• Prepare and file purchasing related documents
• Procure materials, equipment and services
• Participate in contract negotiations
• Assist with special projects as needed

• Strong computer skills; Microsoft Office and various software programs
• Well organized with strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills and ability to negotiate
