Your role at Baxter:

Coordinate the capital budget process and capital projects approval for Aibonito operation.

Submit monthly maintenance for capitalization of fixed assets, disposals and assure that CPA's are closed capitalized no later than six months after completion date.

Conduct plant inspections to ensure that all assets are tagged.

Coordinate the investment recovery process and manage the fixed asset obsolescence reserve.

Calculate budget depreciation.

Prepare fixed asset audit kits at year end.

Provide information for property tax returns.

Match inter-co, capital invoices and receiving memos.

Balance AUC subsidiary reports and transmit CPA's tracking to TE.

Maintain updated asset policies and procedures.

File the CPA's forms, keep records on expenditures and follow up with originators.

Prepare quarterly Capex forecast.

Reconcile capital account on a monthly basis.

Coordinate and perform a fixed assets physical count as per corporate policy.

Monitor & Coordinate Capital Invoice's Payments.

Promote a zero-harm workplace and assure that required EHS resources are available and that all applicable EHS practices and rules are being followed by supervised employees.

What you'll bring:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

BA with a major in Accounting or Finance. Demonstration of key finance competencies, qualifications and at least 1 + years of progressive accounting/finance experience. Previous experience in General Accounting with experience on Property Accounting is preferable. Experience in PC based analytical tools. Experience to understand of corporate financial systems and sub ledgers in Manufacturing Environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Able to work independently, as well as, in a multitask, multifunctional matrix. Positive worker with excellent interpersonal, communication, analytical skills, teamwork oriented and self-starter person. Frequent contact with Managers, Division Finance & Shared Services.

Language:

Fluent in both English and Spanish (oral and written).

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
