Description

Superior Electrical, Mechanical, and Plumbing, Inc. is a statewide leader in commercial skilled trade services, providing quality electrical, mechanical, and plumbing solutions across California. We are seeking a reliable and experienced Class C Delivery Driver to join our team. The Delivery Driver will deliver or pick up construction material and supplies through Southern California using heavy duty trucks with trailers while ensuring safe arrival times. During non-driving or standby hours, this position will also assist with warehouse and yard operations as needed. The work schedule is Monday to Friday 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Responsibilities

• Drive company trucks or vehicles to deliver or pick-up various sized equipment and material throughout S. California
• Tow trailers as needed to facilitate delivery of materials
• Hook-up, attach or disconnect trailers to vehicles
• Tie-down and inspect cargo ensuring department policies are practiced
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment
• Ensure paperwork and email communication is completed accurately and on time
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors and other team members regarding delivery arrival times
• Perform general yard maintenance and warehouse duties during non-drive time
• Adaptable to work independently and as part of a team
• Operate forklifts to move equipment as needed
• Additional duties will be assigned as needed to support the operations of the department
• Assist with warehouse and yard duties when not hauling freight
• Perform additional warehouse or yard tasks as needed

Requirements

• Minimum of two years of recent towing experience within a commercial environment
• Valid and insurable Class C driver's license (insurability is defined as a driver with an active license and not more than 2-points on a driver record)
• Pass a pre-employment drug test
• Physical ability to load, unload equipment and lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

$20 to $25 per hour
