CNC Machinist

Location: Peterborough, New Hampshire, United States (On-site)

Shift: 2nd (3:00pm–11:30pm, 10% shift differential)

Salary: Competitive, depending on experience

About the Role

Round-Peg Solutions is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a highly respected client, a leading manufacturer of precision bearing components used in aircraft engines, aircraft structures, and defense equipment for the U.S. Military. We are seeking experienced CNC Machinists / Machine Set Up operators to join their team and help produce components that matter.

As a Machine Set Up, you will work with a variety of machines, ensuring parts are manufactured to tight tolerances and exacting quality standards. You will also support your team through training, troubleshooting, and process improvements.

What You’ll Do

• Set up, adjust, and operate a variety of machinery to meet production and finish requirements
• Follow standard procedures and certified processes to prepare for production runs
• Perform first piece and last piece inspections and adhere to all quality standards
• Provide guidance and training to new hires as required
• Perform calculations related to machines and materials
• Maintain a safe working environment at all times

Skills & Experience

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience operating or setting up machinery in a manufacturing environment
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach
• Ability to diagnose and resolve machine problems, or recommend corrective actions
• Comfortable using, or quickly learning, a variety of specialized tools
• Basic math skills and understanding of the metric system
• Physically able to lift up to 40lbs, stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform manual handling tasks
