Job Description

ATA Services, Inc. is seeking to hire a Project Manager with IT expertise to work in a temporary long-term position.

 

  • $60.00 per hour, with weekly pay
  • Start Date: As soon as possible
  • Part time; 20 - 40 hours 
  • This is a remote position 

 

Project : NM Health Communications Hub “ChileChat” 

 

New Mexico Department of Health (NMDOH) is working to improve communications with primary and behavioral healthcare providers and create opportunities for networking, connection, support, and information sharing among providers and public health staff. This includes creating an online Communications Hub (called “ChileChat”) using the software HCL Connections to facilitate two-way communications between DOH, healthcare providers and others in the primary and behavioral health ecosystem, as well as provider-to-provider communication.

From 10/2025-9/2026, the DOH project team will develop a pilot version of the Hub platform and conduct user testing with providers to improve user experience and ensure that the Hub meets their identified communication and information access needs. 

 

Key objectives for this contract include:  

 

  • On behalf of the Communications Hub project team, liaise with the NMDOH IT department (and other partners as relevant) to adapt the structure, design, and organization of the online Hub platform to optimize user experience.
  • Develop a sustainable system for posting and organizing content for healthcare providers (e.g., public health guidelines, emergency response guidelines, continuing education opportunities, policy updates, etc.) on the NM Health Communications Hub platform.
  • Establish an automated process for verifying new users (primary and behavioral healthcare providers) registering to join the Hub platform, accounting for a diversity of healthcare provider roles and specialties.
  • Establish guidelines and a process for reviewing and responding to user comments or posts that violate the Hub's user agreement, including a clear escalation pathway for complex moderation decisions.
  • Develop and implement procedures for archiving all Hub content to ensure compliance with the Inspection of Public Records Act (IPRA) requirements. 

 

  • Develop a process for assisting Hub users in identifying and contacting specific Department of Health (DOH) staff members as needed.
  • Create a clear and efficient process for coordinating the dissemination of emergency communications (e.g., Health Alerts Network (HAN) alerts, data sharing, updates) through the HUB.
  • Collaborate with the DOH Communications Team in implementing a communication strategy to promote the Hub among user groups across the state. This may include demonstrations and tutorials on how to use the Communications Hub. 

 

Requirements: 

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field - business administration, management, computer science, or a related area.
  • Project/Program Management: Several years of experience in project or program management is crucial.
  • Public Health education/experience, 
  • Social Media coordinator education/experience
  • Experience in leading teams, managing projects, and working with stakeholders is highly valued.
  • Specific Industry Experience: IT, Government experience
  • Strong leadership skills for motivating teams, delegating tasks, and fostering collaboration.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for conveying information, managing expectations, and facilitating engagement.
  • Ability to think strategically, align programs with organizational goals, and make informed decisions.
  • The ability to identify and resolve complex issues, both technical and interpersonal.
  • Must be adept at identifying potential risks, assessing their impact, and developing mitigation strategies.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills for managing multiple projects, allocating resources, and meeting deadlines.
  • Effectively managing relationships with team members, clients, and senior management.
  • Experience managing program budgets, track expenses, and ensuring financial accountability.
  • The ability to adapt to changing circumstances, prioritize tasks effectively, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
