DENTIST (DMD, DDS) SCHEDULE

  • Part-Time

DENTIST (DMD, DDS)  POSITION SUMMARY

As the Dentist, you will utilize your expertise in dental surgery, restorative dentistry, oral surgery, and general dental care to provide high-quality dental services to our patients in a correctional environment. You will also use your excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and collaborate with other healthcare professionals. Your ability to work independently and as part of a team will be essential in providing comprehensive care to our patients. 

DENTIST (DMD, DDS) ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Perform and interpret radiographic exams as indicated.
  • Provide dental treatment to include emergency treatment of the teeth and surrounding soft tissues such as oral surgery, restorative dentistry and periodontal therapy within the scope of a general Dentist including extractions.
  • Correction of significant oral problems, which may adversely affect inmate’s health as, deemed necessary.
  • Make proper referrals for procedures which cannot be performed at facility.
  • Report any unusual occurrences or accidents to the site or Regional Medical Director. Attend training and meetings as required.

DENTIST (DMD, DDS) MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Current licensed in the state.
  • Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from an accredited institution
  • Experience in dental surgery, restorative dentistry, and oral surgery
  • Maintains current DEA number.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
