A rapidly growing food manufacturer is seeking a Director of Supply Chain to lead and optimize their end-to-end supply chain operations. This is a critical leadership role with broad responsibilities including ERP upgrades, forecasting, inventory management, and process development. The ideal candidate will bring both strategic thinking and hands-on execution to help scale a dynamic, fast-paced operation.

Position Overview

We are seeking a full-time Director of Supply Chain to lead and optimize end-to-end supply chain operations. This individual will play a key role in upgrading the company ERP system (Sage), improving forecasting, inventory management, and supply planning. The Director will ensure operational efficiency, inventory accuracy, and effective planning processes to support our continued success.

Key Responsibilities

ERP Optimization & System Improvements

• Lead the implementation of the Master Production Schedule (MPS) within Sage.
• Oversee the clean-up and validation of master data.
• Review and standardize all Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Ensure item details (min/max levels, pricing, lead times, etc.) are accurate and up to date.
• Implement and manage processes for raw material reconciliation at the end of manufacturing, ensuring accurate inventory put-back.

Inventory & Warehouse Management

• Improve inventory accuracy through more frequent and structured cycle counts.
• Eliminate surprise shortages through proactive stock monitoring and reporting.
• Strengthen warehouse organization, material flow, and physical inventory controls.

Demand Planning & Forecasting

• Overhaul the forecasting process by integrating customer forecasts, win/loss data, and trend analysis.
• Improve long-range planning capabilities to extend decision-making visibility beyond a 3-week window.

Process Development & Team Leadership

• Update and streamline the new product introduction process to support smoother launches.
• Create and implement scalable processes within the Supply Chain function.
• Establish key reporting dashboards and analytics to support proactive decision-making.
• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing supply chain team, promoting cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, or related field; MBA or APICS certification a plus.
• 7+ years of supply chain management experience, preferably in food manufacturing or CPG.
• Proven experience with ERP systems (Sage preferred), including implementation and optimization.
• Strong analytical, project management, and leadership skills.
• Hands-on experience improving forecasting, inventory accuracy, and warehouse operations.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
