Job Description

Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager

About Us

We create products and brands that people trust to clean, sanitize, and protect their homes. When you join our team, you become part of an organization that values the work we do and the people who make it happen. We bring exceptional products to consumers that promote the health and wellness of their families and maintain the cleanliness of their homes.

We are committed to fostering a culture of performance driven by accountability, collaboration, and agility. This enables timely, fact-based decision-making and exceptional execution, all grounded in unwavering ethics. As one of North America’s largest independent manufacturers of consumer products, we help a large portfolio of brands and retailers bring their products to life.

Your Role

As the Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the health and safety of our employees and the environment. You will maintain safety equipment inventory, conduct periodic safety inspections, and oversee hazardous waste removal vendors. This position requires close collaboration with various departments, delivering training in emergency response and hazardous material handling. You will ensure environmental compliance and act as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies, while driving corrective actions to address any EHS risks.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Providing technical guidance as the site’s subject matter expert on EHS issues.
  • Establishing and maintaining site-specific EHS objectives and targets.
  • Representing EHS on the site leadership team.
  • Developing and executing tactical and strategic plans to improve EHS performance.
  • Managing the EHS training program, including new hire, job-specific, contractor, and required refresher training.
  • Leading the site EHS Committee and managing related communications.
  • Overseeing site incident and injury reporting, investigation, and recordkeeping.
  • Assisting in managing workers’ compensation claims and the Return-to-Work program.
  • Writing permits and managing the site’s emergency response program.
  • Covering all shifts for training needs and maintaining a flexible schedule.

What You’ll Bring

  • 5+ years of environmental, health, and safety compliance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • High School Diploma or GED required; a bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local EHS regulations.
  • Experience with industrial wastewater treatment and potable water systems is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Process Safety Management (PSM), Risk Management Plans (RMP), or E2 requirements is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise, coach, and mentor employees.
  • A self-driven mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and change management.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks based on impact and facility goals.
  • Availability to support a 24/7 operation and be on call for emergencies.

What You’ll Get

We offer a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package, including:

  • Health, wellness, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance.
  • Retirement savings options with employer match.
  • Education Assistance to encourage personal and professional growth.
  • Paid vacation and a work environment that values work-life balance.

Join us in making a difference by contributing to a safer, healthier, and cleaner world. If you’re ready to lead EHS initiatives in a fast-paced, demanding, and rewarding environment, we’d love to hear from you.
