Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Coordinator

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Pay Rate: $35.00–$40.00/hour DOE

A well-established manufacturing organization is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Coordinator to support and lead site-wide safety and environmental compliance efforts.

This onsite role reports to the Plant Manager and is responsible for driving EHS programs, ensuring regulatory compliance, and promoting a safe, healthy workplace for employees, contractors, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, implement, and track EHS programs, documentation, compliance requirements, and ESG initiatives
Research and coordinate effective programs and/or vendors to promote a hazard-free work environment
Conduct incident and near-miss investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation
Perform safety audits and inspections of facilities, machinery, and equipment; identify and resolve hazards
Maintain internal and external EHS records, regulatory reporting, and site incident documentation
Compile and report EHS metrics, including analysis, tracking, and trend reporting
Serve as the primary contact for regulatory agencies (air, water, storm water, waste, etc.) including inspections, permitting, and reporting
Assist with workers’ compensation claims as needed

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or a related science field preferred
3+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment
CSP certification preferred
First Aid/CPR/AED certification preferred
Training/facilitation experience; SAP experience preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization
