Job Title: Field Services Dispatcher

Job Type: Full-Time

Location: Grapevine, TX (On-Site)

Reports To: Field Services Manager Position Summary:

This hybrid role requires a dynamic individual who can manage daily dispatch operations while also supporting project planning, technician coordination, and milestone tracking for IT projects in the US and Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

Dispatch & Resource Coordination

  • Assign and schedule IT field technicians based on skill set, location, and availability.
  • Source and recruit qualified technicians by reviewing resumes, conducting calls, negotiating rates/travel expenses, and aligning availability with project needs.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between technicians, clients, and internal teams.
  • Monitor ticket queues, prioritize urgent requests, and provide real-time status updates.

Project Coordination Support

  • Assist in planning and executing IT projects, including hardware rollouts, network upgrades, AV deployments, and low-voltage cabling.
  • Track milestones, deliverables, and dependencies across multiple projects.
  • Maintain accurate documentation (work orders, scope of work, site instructions, and closeout reports).
  • Coordinate resource allocation to meet project timelines and SLAs.

Client & Technician Engagement

  • Communicate clearly with clients regarding schedules, technician arrivals, and escalations.
  • Provide on-site and remote support to technicians, ensuring tasks are completed within scope and timeframes.
  • Conduct post-dispatch follow-ups to verify service completion and capture feedback.
  • Build positive, long-term relationships with technicians and clients.

Financial Oversight

  • Negotiate labor rates and travel costs in line with company guidelines.
  • Review technician invoices for accuracy, disputing exceptions when necessary.
  • Ensure profitability by validating billing hours, managing work order margins, and submitting accurate documentation for invoicing.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in IT field service dispatching or coordination.
  • 2+ years of experience in IT project coordination or project management.
  • Strong understanding of field service operations and basic IT infrastructure (networking, cabling, hardware setup).
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems and dispatch platforms (e.g., WorkMarket, Field Nation).
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
