We specialize in automating rights management at a massive scale and ensuring creators are paid quickly, fairly, and transparently. Our platform, Blue Matter , powers publishing and royalty operations to the tune of 22 Million copyrights and counting. We’re now expanding into new tools and services launching in 2026 that serve the broader music ecosystem, and looking for talented, driven developers to help us achieve our goals, want to grow their skill-sets, and bring new perspectives to our team.

Job Description

We’re hiring a Full Stack Developer to join our Nashville team. This role is ideal for someone who wants to work at the intersection of music and technology; especially if you’ve worked in music publishing, royalty accounting, or label distribution .

You’ll be a key contributor to both new and existing products, working closely with our internal rights management team to iterate on tools and workflows, business development to offer the best services possible to our customers, and help design and implement the next generation of enterprise and indie tools in the music industry. This role is fast-paced and requires someone comfortable navigating between back-end infrastructure, big data systems, and implementing front-end features in an ever changing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain music publishing applications using Angular (or other frontend frameworks) , Python , and SQL/Snowflake
  • Architect scalable systems and their infrastructure using AWS (Lambda, ECS, S3, etc.) and Snowflake
  • Support internal teams by building and improving tooling, visualizations and insights, and helping teams go from idea to product
  • Analyze and work with large music and royalty datasets
  • Leverage ML and LLM technologies to accelerate product capabilities and development timelines
  • Participate in technical planning and decision-making for upcoming launches, existing product enhancements, etc

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years of full stack development experience
  • Strong back-end development skills (Python for data analyis, REST APIs, and data processing)
  • Proficient in modern JavaScript frameworks (Angular, React, or Vue)
  • Advanced SQL skills and production experience with Snowflake or similar platforms like Amazon Redshift
  • Strong grasp of AWS suite of products and architecture design
  • Preferred direct experience with music publishing, music royalties, and/or label/distribution operations
  • Experience seeing products and/or features through from idea to launch
  • Comfortable working closely with cross-functional teams and internal users
