About the Role

We’re hiring a Head Chef for an independent restaurant in Helena, Montana. This is a great fit for someone with a passion for food, leadership experience in professional kitchens, and a desire to bring fresh energy to a well-loved, community-focused restaurant.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead all kitchen operations, from menu development to execution
  • Create seasonal, locally sourced dishes that reflect regional American bistro cuisine
  • Inspire and manage a skilled back-of-house team through training, scheduling and mentorship
  • Oversee food costing, portioning, inventory and supplier relationships
  • Ensure consistent food quality and maintain a clean, organized and efficient kitchen

What We’re Looking For

  • At least 5 years of professional kitchen experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role
  • Experience with farm-to-table, fine dining, or regional American cuisine
  • Strong culinary skills, with a focus on scratch cooking and creative, seasonal menu development
  • Proven ability to manage inventory, food costs and kitchen systems
  • Comfort using kitchen software for ordering, planning and inventory
  • Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Eligible to work in the U.S.
