Position Summary:

This position will oversee all aspects of a Division I program, including the management of two full-time assistant coaches. The Head Coach will provide positive direction and leadership to maintain a successful field hockey program; plan and administer all aspects of the program; coach, recruit, adhere to NCAA and MAC compliance policies; demonstrated ability to be fiscally responsible and manage complex budgets; have the ability to work with athletic communications on public relations initiatives; and be directly involved with fundraising and university development initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree
• Minimum of two years of coaching experience, preferably at the collegiate level
• Demonstrated experience in collegiate field hockey recruiting
• Knowledge of and commitment to compliance with NCAA rules, regulations, and policies
• Demonstrated integrity 
• Proven leadership skills
• Ability to motivate and support student-athletes in achieving both academic and athletic success
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree
• Division I coaching and recruiting experience
