Worker (Seasonal) Milwaukee County Zoo Hourly Pay Rate:\$10.36 - \$19.17

Job Summary: The Seasonal Horticulture Zoo Worker maintains and

preserves horticultural and botanical features using sound horticultural

practices, educates visitors, preserves and enhances department assets,

and ensures quality service and product delivery. The Horticulture Zoo

Worker will add value to the guest experience here at the Zoo by

fulfilling these responsibilities. This position is currently for the

fall season. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Plant, mulch,

fertilize, weed, prune, clean, maintain, and care for ornamental,

annual, perennial, turf, and shrub plantings throughout the Zoo grounds.

Water annual, perennial, turf, and shrub plantings throughout Zoo

grounds and Zoo Greenhouses on a regular schedule throughout the entire

growing season. Install and maintain automatic irrigation systems.

Create new and renovate existing ornamental and native planting areas

through site preparation. This includes invasives removals, soil
