Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Industrial Engineer to join our team in Wichita, Kansas. The successful candidate will focus on optimizing production workflows, improving facility layouts, and enhancing overall operational efficiency within a manufacturing environment. This role involves both analytical and hands-on responsibilities, working closely with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze and design sequences of operations and workflows to enhance efficiency in plant production and facility layouts.
• Establish methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel while optimizing product flow.
• Support or lead initiatives for accident prevention and safety training across production operations.
• Conduct studies on cost control, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems; develop and implement improvements.
• Assist with facility planning and design in coordination with facilities engineers.
• Develop time standards and standard work documentation for operations and processes.
• Utilize analytical tools for capacity analysis, equipment utilization, and line balancing.
• Perform trend analysis on shop floor performance to identify and drive improvement opportunities.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering
• 2–5 years of experience in an engineering-related role

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in an aircraft or aerospace manufacturing environment
• Proficiency with Industrial Engineering tools (e.g., capacity analysis, facility layout design, production improvement techniques)
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office , particularly Excel and PowerPoint
• Solid understanding of aerospace industry standards
• Strong communication and presentation abilities
• Proven critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills
