Clinical Psychologist Opportunity

Bestica is seeking a Clinical Psychologist to provide support at healthcare facilities throughout the San Diego, CA area.

Locations:

Positions are available across various clinical sites in the San Diego region.

Mandatory Qualifications:

• Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) from an APA-accredited institution
• Completion of an APA-accredited internship in psychology OR a one-year fellowship/residency in health psychology or behavioral medicine
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience within the past 4 years
• Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a psychologist in any U.S. state, D.C., Guam, Puerto Rico, or U.S. Virgin Islands
• U.S. Citizen
• Ability to pass a NACI background check

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Practice within state licensing guidelines, APA Ethical Principles, and facility-specific privileges
• Conduct psychological evaluations using clinical interviews, testing, and collateral information
• Establish psychiatric diagnoses in accordance with the DSM
• Provide individual and group psychological treatment and help patients manage illness or injury
• Assist with patient rehabilitation
• Deliver brief, consultation-based services within an integrated primary care model
• Provide timely feedback to primary care managers regarding findings and recommendations
• Assess the appropriateness of primary care–based services and assist with treatment plan implementation
• Develop behavioral health interventions suitable for primary care settings
• Provide brief follow-ups, including relapse-prevention education
• Develop and teach classes promoting psychological and physical well-being
• Document patient care within 24 hours of each encounter
• Participate in group medical appointments, including Shared Medical Appointments (SMA) and Drop-in Group Medical Appointments (DIGMA)
• Offer clinical insight and technical direction for relevant projects at the site of service
