Direct Roots is an international import/export sourcing, consolidation, and delivery company that specializes in providing solutions for our customer partners across a wide variety of fresh fruits and vegetables.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and optimizing the movement of products through the supply chain, from the point of origin to its destination. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, a strong background in reporting and analytics, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

• Coordinate and track the movement of products through the supply chain, from point of origin to its destination.
• Ensure on-time delivery of products to customers by coordinating with carriers, vendors, and Sales teams.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with carriers and vendors to ensure efficient and effective communication and collaboration.
• Schedule delivery appointments for various receivers
• Manage claims and OS&D for loads.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing and resolving customer inquiries and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
• Utilize reporting and analytics to improve processes and reports

Qualifications

• Previous experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain coordination is preferred
• Previous experience in the produce/agriculture industry is a plus
• Previous experience in dashboards, data or reporting development
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

Requirements:

• Strong computer fluency e.g., Windows, Word, Outlook, Power BI
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Analytical thinker & strong desire to learn and improve our processes.
• Strong attention to detail ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be available to work weekends, evenings or holidays as needed.

*This is primarily a weekend role (Sat/Sun from home + weekdays)
