Position Summary

Working under the supervision of the Director of Analytics, provide leadership to the Business Intelligence team. Responsible for ensuring that Business Intelligence projects are aligned with executive priorities. Accountable for all aspects of Epic data analysis, and delivery for the organization. Ensuring that we deliver insights and actionable recommendations to help the organization achieve its strategic goals.

Standard Work: Manager - Business Intelligence

Develop positive, cooperative relationships across functional boundaries. Support and drive the value of team work and instill collaborative practices throughout the department and organization

Ensure coordination among team related to the design, administration, and communication of all Business Intelligence solutions for the health system.

Ensure best practice standards for Business Intelligence and monitor compliance to ensure quality solutions.

Oversee project timelines to ensure solutions are delivered on time and communicate with stakeholders any unforeseen delays.

Apply sound business judgment in the execution of duties.

Monitor department focus to ensure efforts are aligned with strategic goals, both by attending to the specifics of the processes and by ensuring that people meet the demanding standards of performance. Realize how projects fit into the larger strategic context.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential:

  • Bachelor Degree

  • Healthcare, Business, or similar field

Other information:

Experience Essential:

Progressive leadership experience within a team setting.

Experience with analytics best practices, analysis techniques and methodologies, and database management/reporting

At least 3 years working in a Epic

Advanced SQL

Experience Preferred:

Strong analytics background providing insights and recommendations to archive outcomes grounded in data.

At least seven years working in a hospital setting in financial/operational or a professional role

Experience with Epic, Tableau

Certification Essential:

Epic - Cogito

Certification Preferred:

Epic - Cogito Project Management
