The Opportunity
We're seeking a motivated Marketing Intern with strong social media skills to join our team. This internship offers hands-on experience in healthcare marketing, social media management, and content creation within a highly specialized agency environment.
What makes this different: You'll gain real-world experience in one of the most regulated and rapidly evolving marketing sectors. After completing 320 hours, high-performing interns will be considered for a paid contract position at $20/hour.
What You'll Do
Social Media Management (60%)
Create and schedule social media content across LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter
Monitor engagement metrics and respond to comments/messages (within HIPAA guidelines)
Research trending topics in healthcare, digital marketing, and AI
Develop social media calendars aligned with campaign objectives
Assist with community management and audience growth strategies
Content Creation (25%)
Write compelling social media copy that drives engagement
Design basic graphics using Canva or similar tools
Repurpose long-form content (blogs, case studies) into social posts
Create short-form video scripts and captions for Reels/TikTok
Curate relevant industry content for sharing
Analytics & Reporting (10%)
Track social media performance metrics (reach, engagement, conversions)
Compile weekly/monthly performance reports
Identify top-performing content and provide insights
Monitor competitor social media activity
Team Collaboration (5%)
Participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions
Support other marketing initiatives as needed
Stay updated on healthcare marketing regulations (HIPAA basics)
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
Must be based in Los Angeles area with reliable transportation to Westwood office
Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a marketing, communications, business, or related program
Available for mandatory 4 hours per week in-office (remaining hours can be remote)
Strong understanding of major social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter)
Excellent written communication skills with attention to detail
Basic graphic design skills (Canva, Adobe Express, or similar)
Self-motivated with ability to work independently
Reliable internet connection and computer for remote work
Preferred Qualifications
Experience managing social media accounts (personal or professional)
Familiarity with social media scheduling tools (Buffer, Hootsuite, Later, etc.)
Basic understanding of healthcare industry or medical terminology
Knowledge of video editing tools (CapCut, InShot, Adobe Premiere)
Understanding of social media algorithms and best practices
Portfolio of social media content or campaigns

Internship Details
Time Commitment: 320 hours total (flexible schedule with mandatory in-office requirement)

Or 10-15 hours per week for 20-32 weeks
4 hours per week MUST be in-office at our Westwood, Los Angeles location
Remaining hours can be completed remotely
In-office days/times can be coordinated based on mutual availability
Schedule can be customized to fit academic commitments
Work Environment: Hybrid model
In-Office (Westwood, LA): 4 hours per week mandatory for team collaboration, training, and meetings
Remote: Remaining hours with flexibility
Virtual team meetings via Zoom/Google Meet
