Job Description

Horizon Infusions, a leading ambulatory infusion center in Ohio, Kentucky, and New York is offering an exciting opportunity for a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner for our state-of-the-art facilities in Columbus, Ohio and the surrounding area.

The nurse practitioner will be responsible for the oversight of prescribed infusion therapy to patients with acute and chronic conditions, such as RA, Crohn’s disease, and Lupus. As the clinical leader, you will ensure clinical operating procedures are being followed and manage clinical staff.

Responsibilities:

  • In collaboration with the Medical Director, assume overall responsibility for patient infusions, diagnostic testing, infusion reactions, orders and patient follow-up
  • Manage clinical staff, including hiring, training, development, and supervision
  • Manage each infusion drug clinical protocol
  • Ensure that all aspects of regulations/SOPs are always complied with
  • Participate in corporate team meetings, ensuring that colleagues are updated on all relevant issues
  • Ensure the smooth flow of the clinical department functions
  • Mentoring of clinical staff that are relevant to issues, including staff meeting, annual competencies, annual reviews, policies, and procedures
  • Act as a liaison for physicians, pharmaceutical companies and corporate administrators
  • Oversee processes to ensure competence with accreditation bodies, quality improvement, risk management, and patient safety

Skills:

  • Proven record of management skills and ability to lead others in challenging situations
  • Must be articulate, flexible, self-motivated, resourceful and pleasant. Must have excellent bedside manner and feel compassion for patient receiving infusion therapy.
  • Able to manage nurses in a supportive and dedicated atmosphere
  • Multi-tasker and strong organizational skills
  • Must exhibit verbal and written communication skills and maintain a flexible, positive attitude
  • Valid Nurse Practitioner license in the State of Ohio
  • Master's degree or higher as an adult or family nurse practitioner and certified by a national certifying body
  • Infusion experience preferred

  • NP
  • Current State Nursing License
  • Infusion Experience Preferred
