Job Description

We’re partnering with a school district in Plymouth County, MA to hire dedicated school-based Occupational Therapists for the 2025–2026 school year. This role focuses on early childhood/preschool students and requires familiarity with the Toni Linder Play Date Assessment.

As a school-based OT, you will work closely with a team of five professionals including an SLP, School Psychologist, Special Education Teacher, Adjustment Counselor, and another OT. You will observe approximately six children per week, draw conclusions based on play, evaluate children by observation, develop plans to support integration, and host meetings with parents to discuss progress and recommendations.

Position Details:

• Location: In-person, Plymouth County, MA
• Schedule: Full-time or part-time
• School Year: Remainder of 2025/2026, with potential to extend

Responsibilities:

• Conduct observations and assessments of preschool-aged children using the Toni Linder Play Date Assessment
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to create individualized plans for each child
• Host parent meetings to discuss observations, progress, and strategies to support development
• Use play-based evaluation techniques to draw conclusions about each child’s needs and abilities
• Integrate children into classroom and social activities effectively
• Document observations, progress, and recommendations for each child

Qualifications:

• Licensed Occupational Therapist in Massachusetts
• Experience with early childhood and preschool-aged students
• Familiarity with Toni Linder Play Date Assessment
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with a multidisciplinary team
• Passion for supporting the social, emotional, and developmental growth of children
