Role Description

This full time on site Operations Manager role located in American Fork UT, will oversee 6–8 projects a month and play a pivotal role in ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget, and to the highest-quality standards. Key responsibilities include: collaborating closely with our Residential and Commercial sales teams to manage the planning, and execution of all project objectives under the Operations Manager. The ideal candidate has a strong background in construction management or operations, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional results as efficiently as possible. Key responsibilities also include managing staff, coordinating with suppliers, maintaining quality control, and implementing safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Lead the execution of roofing activities for residential and commercial projects from inception to completion.
• Review of upcoming projects.
• Manage cost-control measures to ensure financial targets are met.
• Coordinate with sales team to ensure project plans and specifications are followed accurately.
• Oversee procurement of materials, equipment, and services
• Monitor progress, identify potential risks or issues, and implement corrective actions to maintain project timelines and quality standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and quality standards.
• Provide leadership and direction to onsite roofing and siding subs teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence.
• Supervise project closeout and conduct walkthroughs with customers.
• Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement, innovation, and sustainability in construction practices and methodologies.

Qualifications

  Industry and Technical Knowledge

• Strong understanding of construction processes, techniques, and best practices.
• Expertise in project planning, scheduling, and cost management.
• Knowledge of safety regulations, building codes, and industry standards related to construction.
• Knowledge of roofing and exterior services, including materials and safety protocols.
• Experience in the roofing or construction industry is a must.

  Management and Leadership Skills

• Experience in operations management, project management, and staff supervision.
• Excellent leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.

  Software and Tools Proficiency

• Proficiency in construction management software, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Proficiency in using project management software and other relevant tools - this can be taught during training period.

  Personal and Communication Skills

• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers and or subcontractors.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
