OPTICAL STUDIO MANAGER 

Compensation: $35-$40/hour + bonus, health Insurance, 401K, + product perks!

CLARITY on Melrose is a new optometry practice and optical studio by Dr. Danielle Richardson O.D. offering modern, design-focused eye care in West Hollywood. Our practice emphasizes thoughtful service, high-quality eyewear, and a welcoming, well-organized environment for patients.

We are seeking an  Optical Studio Manager to oversee daily optical operations, support patient care, and help maintain an organized and efficient workplace. This role is ideal for someone with strong optical experience who enjoys working in a boutique environment and takes pride in delivering excellent service.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Support pre-testing and assist the doctor with patient care tasks
• Provide frame styling guidance across our curated eyewear collections
• Recommend lenses and educate patients on available options
• Oversee daily optical workflow, including inventory and merchandising
• Maintain vendor and lab communication (including vision plans and private-pay labs)
• Communicate effectively with front desk and clinical staff
• Help reinforce practice standards and operational procedures
• Assist with onboarding and training as the team expands

Qualifications

• Licensed optician  or experienced optical professional (4+ years preferred)
• Strong knowledge of optical measurements, lenses, and eyewear adjustments
• Experience in boutique or high-service optical or retail environments
• Organized, reliable, and able to manage multiple responsibilities
• Excellent communication skills and a patient-focused approach
• Comfort working in a new practice environment and adapting as systems develop
