Job Title: Oracle Essbase Administrator/ Developer
Location: Pleasanton, CA / Dallas, TX / Coppell, TX / San Francisco, CA
Key Responsibilities
Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Oracle Essbase and related Oracle EPM Suite components.
Monitor and tune Essbase cube performance, execute aggregations, and manage cube restructuring.
Manage data loads, calculation scripts, and automation routines using MaxL and other scripting tools.
Implement and manage backup, recovery, failover, and patch strategies for Essbase environments.
Troubleshoot issues related to Essbase, Smart View, data integrations, and EPM components.
Work closely with IT infrastructure and DBA teams for server updates, migrations, and environment configuration.
Maintain accurate documentation for system setups, data flows, configurations, and operational procedures.
Provide functional and technical support to business users for analytical and reporting needs.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
5+ years of hands-on experience in Oracle Essbase Administration.
Proficiency with Essbase Studio, Smart View, EAS Console, and MaxL scripting.
Strong understanding of multidimensional database design, cube architecture, and data integration.
Experience working with Hyperion Planning, DRM (Data Relationship Management), and Oracle EPM Suite.
Solid experience in Linux/Windows server environments.
Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
Experience with automation tools such as ODI, Python, or Shell scripting.
Knowledge of cloud-based EPM solutions (Oracle Cloud EPM).
Exposure to performance optimization techniques and advanced Essbase tuning
