Job Description
A Parenteral Drug Services Operator operates and maintains machinery for manufacturing and packaging parenteral drugs, a job that requires following strict aseptic techniques and cGMP/GLP standards. These are entry-level production positions that involve hands-on work on a manufacturing line.
Job responsibilities:
Operate and monitor machinery to assist with the production and packaging of parenteral drugs.
Adhere to strict aseptic techniques and follow current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
Batch Preparation: Measure, mix, and prepare drug formulations according to strict protocols.
Equipment Operation: Run and monitor machinery like vial washers, autoclaves, filling lines, and lyophilizers.
Documentation: Maintain detailed records for compliance with FDA and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) standards.
Quality Control: Inspect products for contamination, defects, or deviations from specifications.
Cleaning & Maintenance: Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of sterile areas and equipment.
Skills & Qualifications
Attention to detail and ability to follow precise procedures.
Familiarity with GMP regulations and SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).
High school diploma or Associate degree, plus training in sterile processing or pharmaceutical operations.
Physical stamina for standing, lifting, and working in gowning-required environments
