Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

1. Installation and Assembly:

Pipe Fitters install new piping systems according to specifications and blueprints, including connecting pipes, valves, and other components.

1. Fabrication:

They may be required to cut, bend, and shape pipes to fit specific needs, often using tools like pipe cutters, threading machines, and welding equipment.

1. Maintenance and Repair:

This includes inspecting existing systems, identifying issues, and performing necessary repairs to ensure optimal functionality and safety.

1. Leak Testing:

Pipe Fitters use various methods to test for leaks in the piping systems, such as increasing pressure and monitoring gauges.

1. Safety Compliance:

They must adhere to strict safety regulations and procedures during all work activities.

1. Collaboration:

Pipe Fitters often work closely with other tradespeople, engineers, and supervisors, coordinating their work to ensure efficient and safe installations.
