Procurement Logistics Manager

We are looking for a strategic and analytical Procurement Logistics Manager to lead freight procurement operations and manage a logistics spend of $36 million . This role is ideal for a degreed supply chain professional with a strong background in international and domestic logistics , network design , and distribution center optimization .

The Logistics Procurement Manager is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end logistics function, including procurement of logistics services, distribution, network optimization, and transportation. This role ensures that goods move efficiently through the supply chain—delivered to the right location, on time, and at the lowest possible cost—while supporting business growth and operational scalability. The Logistics Manager leads planning, execution, and continuous improvement efforts across logistics operations, including strategic network design.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source and manage third-party logistics (3PL) providers, carriers, and freight forwarders.
  • Negotiate transportation and warehousing contracts to ensure service level agreements and cost efficiency.
  • Evaluate and select vendors based on cost, service, and capability.
  • Oversee all aspects of product distribution, from warehouses to end customers.
  • Ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment and inventory replenishment.
  • Manage last-mile delivery performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Analyze current logistics network and design optimized distribution models to reduce cost and improve service.
  • Use data analytics and simulation tools to evaluate network scenarios and implement improvements.
  • Collaborate with planning and operations teams to align logistics capabilities with business strategy.
  • Monitor and improve logistics KPIs (on-time delivery, freight cost, inventory accuracy, etc.)
  • Implement logistics technologies (e.g., TMS, WMS, route planning software) to improve visibility and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with transportation laws, import/export regulations, and safety standards
  • Lead and develop logistics and warehouse personnel to ensure high performance and engagement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in logistics management, with strong exposure to procurement, distribution, and network optimization.
  • Proficiency in logistics systems (e.g., TMS, WMS, ERP) and data analysis tools
  • Excellent negotiation, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Experience in designing or restructuring distribution/logistics networks is highly preferred
  • Knowledge of international logistics and trade compliance is a plus.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., APICS, CSCMP, Lean Six Sigma) are advantageous.
