PROGRAM MANAGER
GENERAL OVERVIEW:
The main role of the Program Manager is to oversee the programs team and ensure program excellence for Atlanta Angels. This includes managing a (growing) programs team (Program Coordinators, Lead Program Coordinators, Volunteer Coordinators, etc), directing program strategy, and ensuring accountability and excellence in program implementation.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work as directed to support the mission and values of Atlanta Angels
- Engage in discussions around sensitive topics including child abuse, neglect, trauma, mental health, poverty, substance abuse, rehabilitation, social adjustment, therapeutic needs, child demographics, case trajectory, family preservation and child relational concerns.
Manage Programs team of staff, including:
- Assist Director of People Operations in interviewing and hiring new Program Coordinators/programs staff
- On-board and train Program Coordinators and programs staff
- Provide feedback on performance and offer coaching
- Address complaints and resolve problems
- Maintain quality improvement goals and oversee quarterly goals set by Program Coordinators
- Lead weekly programs meetings that include information on newly referred families, volunteers, updates on upcoming events, projects, resources, etc.
- Lead bi-weekly group supervision and provide individual supervision to program leads
- Lead PCs in staffing and coordinating responses to crisis situations, ensuring timely and effective interventions during emergencies
- Oversee the development and implementation of response protocols and strategies
- Oversee internship program and supervise case management interns
Program Implementation:
- Conduct ongoing monitoring of volunteer and client contact
- Track relational outcomes for children/ youth in the Atlanta Angels programs
- Evaluate and oversee the implementation of a data tracking system
- Assess program outcomes and evaluate data necessary to track program outcomes
- Oversee and, when applicable, resolve program complaints and requests to change mentoring or volunteer matching arrangements
- Identify and collaborate with o ther local partners to provide resources to families referred to Atlanta Angels
- Develop and maintain partnerships with private agencies and the state
- Work with Program Enrichment Coordinator, staff, board, and committee members to oversee planning and execution of special program initiatives (Spring Event, Back-to-school drive, holiday event, Parents Nights Out, and more)
Administration:
- Ensure that monthly tracking forms and newsletters are sent to all program volunteers and that PCs collect volunteer impact reports
- Ensure appropriate documentation and case notes in Apricot and conduct regular audits
- Complete weekly compliance reviews
- Assist with grant reporting, as applicable
- Complete audit calls with program matches
- Work with Executive Director and programs team to set annual programs goals in strategic plan and monitor progress throughout the year
- Manage areas of programs budget
- Review PC spending reports and program expense requests
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- A qualified candidate will be a highly skilled communicator with strong interpersonal skills and abilities to quickly curate trust-based connections (including foster families, foster youth, volunteers, mentors, corporate partners, and other Atlanta Angel supporters). This person will possess knowledge of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation; and psychological needs.

WORK CONTEXT:
- Requires using discretion when presenting information to partners, engagement presentations, and discussions of interested parties to avoid disclosing confidential information about a case.
- Requires a mixture of working indoors in a traditional office setting and traveling to agency locations, needs assessments, trainings, and/or outreach events.
- Requires overseeing yearly one-time programs that benefit families in the programs and on the waitlist
- Requires being passionate about the mission and willingness to invest time and personal expertise to grow Atlanta Angels.
REQUIRED:
- Personal car, valid driver license, insurance
- Ability to pass state and federal background checks

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree and 5 + year of related experience
- Masters Degree and 2+ years of related experience
A background in social work, social services or related fields is preferred.
Experience in management is preferred.
