Must Haves:

• Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience with recombinant protein expression from bacterial systems, molecular biology techniques (e.g., PCR, cloning, DNA purification)
• Familiarity with automation systems and laboratory information management systems

Pluses:

• Using Automation platforms such is TECAN
• Experience cultivating E. coli, insect, and mammalian cells for recombinant protein expression

Job Description:

One of our large Pharmaceutical clients is actively hiring for a High-Throughput Molecular Biology & Protein Expression Scientist focusing on designing and optimizing experiments to produce and study proteins efficiently. The successful candidate will work on automated platforms to support molecular biology, protein expression, purification, and assay development. This role involves implementing established protocols, maintaining high‐throughput systems, and ensuring accurate data capture for research initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate automated liquid handling systems and high‐throughput platforms to support diverse laboratory workflows.
• Execute and optimize protocols for recombinant protein expression and purification in bacterial systems and for molecular biology applications including cloning and plasmid DNA preparation.
• Run established assay techniques (e.g., ELISA and other binding assays) to evaluate protein function and other molecular products.
• Prepare and manage laboratory assay materials, enzyme mixtures, and reagents using standardized procedures.
• Capture, analyze, and manage experimental data using appropriate enterprise databases and analytical software tools.
• Maintain accurate records of experimental procedures and results, ensuring compliance with laboratory standards and regulatory requirements.
