POSITION:

Cashco has an opening for a Purchasing Supply Chain Clerk.

Summary :

Cashco is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Supply Chain Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in managing the flow of materials, goods, and information throughout our supply chain process, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of components for valve production. The role will also require collaboration with internal teams and suppliers to maintain efficiency, reduce costs, and meet production schedules.

Responsibilities:

Inventory Management:

  • Monitor and track stock levels of raw materials, components, and finished goods.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions.
  • Perform regular stock audits to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy.
  • Work closely with the warehouse team to ensure the proper storage and organization of materials.

Order Processing:

  • Process purchase orders, track deliveries, and ensure timely receipt of materials from suppliers.
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal departments to ensure the correct materials are ordered and delivered on time.
  • Manage returns, exchanges, or issues with suppliers when necessary.

Logistics and Shipping Support:

  • Assist in the preparation of shipping and receiving documents.
  • Track incoming shipments and resolve any shipping delays or discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with logistics teams to ensure smooth movement of goods from suppliers to the production floor.

Supplier Communication:

  • Maintain effective communication with suppliers to ensure consistent product availability.
  • Provide suppliers with forecasts and order schedules to avoid shortages or production delays.
  • Address any supplier issues, including delays, quality concerns, or discrepancies.

Data entry & Reporting:

  • Update and maintain the supply chain management system with accurate information.
  • Generate and maintain reports on inventory levels, order status, and shipping activities.
  • Support the Supply Chain Manager in analyzing trends and identifying areas for improvement.

Production Support:

  • Collaborate with production teams to ensure all materials are available for scheduled production runs.
  • Resolve material shortages and expedite orders as needed to meet production deadlines.
  • Coordinate with the production team to ensure timely delivery of valves to customers.

Compliance & Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure that all supply chain processes comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulations.
  • Assist with quality control checks to verify the accuracy and condition of materials received.

Process Improvement:

  • Participate in the identification and implementation of process improvements to enhance supply chain efficiency.
  • Suggest ideas for cost savings, efficiency improvements, and better resource utilization.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • An associate’s degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience in purchasing supply chain preferred.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Familiar with purchasing and supply chain software is desirable.
  • Detail oriented with excellent written and communication skills.
  • Must be able to communicate with others on a professional level, through email, face- to-face, and over the phone.
  • Must be able to multi-task and maintain focus both individually and as a team member.
  • Must be a team player, reliable and dependable.
  • Continuous movement of parts weighing up to 50lbs with or without accommodations are required in all positions.
