QA Senior System Tester Location: Remote
Salary: $100–140k
Sabot Consulting is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced QA Senior System Tester to lead quality assurance efforts related to business analysis and process improvement within Medicaid and healthcare IT systems. This role is responsible for evaluating contractor deliverables, ensuring traceability of requirements, and supporting testing and training initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in business process modeling, requirements management, and quality assurance methodologies.
Responsibilities: - Oversee test progress and results, including monitoring the defect management process.
- Participate in all phases of risk management assessments and analyze user requirements, test design, and tool selection.
- Evaluate test plans and documentation to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Assess and recommend improvements to software testing processes and documentation.
- Ensure testing conclusions and recommendations are fully supported by test results.
- Communicate testing status and deviations from requirements to stakeholders.
- Develop and implement risk-based testing strategies, including risk identification, assessment, and mitigation.
- Establish standardized technical test techniques such as statement testing, decision testing, MC/DC testing, and API testing.
- Prepare and execute test cases and scripts, record actual results, and identify defects.
- Develop standard processes and templates for static and dynamic analysis.
- Apply black-box and experience based testing techniques for functional and non-functional quality characteristics.
- Select appropriate test automation approaches and manage automated test creation and execution.
- Identify Data sources and collaborate with data owners and stakeholders to support testing.
Must Have:
- 8+ years in testing and quality management for large scale IT systems.
- 5+ years building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, including executive level communication.
- 3+ years of experience with end to end testing, including system and user acceptance (UAT) testing.
- 3+ years of experience with test automation technologies and managing automated test suites.
- 2+ years of experience using SQL and data reporting tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
Nice To Have:
- 5 years of experience with highly integrated, large-scale healthcare systems.
- ISTQB Foundation certification or equivalent/higher.
- 2 years of experience in a healthcare or insurance domain.
