Registered Nurse (RN) – Adolescent Behavioral Health
Location : Belle Mead, NJ
Job Type : Permanent, On-site
Position Overview
We're hiring a compassionate, clinically strong Registered Nurse (RN) to support an Adolescent Behavioral Health unit serving patients with psychiatric disorders as well as rehab/addiction and substance use treatment needs . This role delivers safe, individualized, evidence-based nursing care in collaboration with an interdisciplinary treatment team.
Responsibilities
- Deliver evidence-based nursing care aligned with current standards, policies, and best practices
- Complete nursing assessments, monitor patient status, and escalate changes in condition appropriately
- Administer medications and treatments safely per provider orders and organizational policy
- Support a safe therapeutic environment, including crisis intervention and de-escalation as needed
- Collaborate with providers and the interdisciplinary team to support individualized care plans
- Provide patient/family education as appropriate and reinforce treatment goals
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and within required timeframes
Required Qualifications
- Active New Jersey Registered Nurse (RN) License
- AHA BLS/CPR certification (required within 60 days of hire)
- BSN in progress and/or willingness to obtain within three (3) years of hire
- Six (6)+ months of relevant nursing experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in adolescent psych , behavioral health , substance use treatment , rehab , or acute/inpatient psychiatric settings
- Strong therapeutic communication skills and ability to remain calm in high-acuity situations
This Position has 2 openings, both of which are part time.
Days - 6:45 am - 3:15 pm
AND
Evenings - 2:45 pm - 11:15 pm
