Are you a skilled estimator with a passion for the commercial roofing and sheet metal industries?

One of our clients Sales Estimator and help drive our growth through accurate cost estimations and strong client relationships. We’re looking for someone with a strong commercial roofing background to take charge of the estimating process, collaborate with our operations team, and help us win new projects in a competitive market.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze project plans, specifications, and proposals to develop accurate cost estimates.
• Perform site inspections to determine project scope, material, labor, and timeline needs.
• Use estimating software to calculate costs for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Build and maintain relationships with general contractors, property managers, and building owners.
• Respond to Requests for Quotes (RFQs) and Proposals (RFPs), and proactively follow up on leads to secure business.
• Present estimates and proposals to clients in a clear and professional manner.
• Negotiate contracts and close sales with the support of the project management team.
• Work with the operations team to ensure seamless project handoff from estimation to execution.
• Attend pre-bid and job meetings as needed to support the sales process.
• Stay informed on industry trends, competitor pricing, and market conditions to refine estimating strategy and accuracy.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of proven experience in commercial construction, with a focus on roofing or architectural metal (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of commercial roofing systems (e.g., TPO, EPDM, PVC, modified bitumen, built-up, metal) and/or metal panel systems.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
• Proficiency with estimating software and tools.

Additional Requirements :

• Ability to travel to job sites as needed to perform inspections and assessments.
