Small scale chromatography with 'some' HPLC

Job Description:

This is for the purification development group supporting NGS downstream development.

Day to Day: hands on wet lab work, hands on execution of small scale throughput and purification and TFF and biofiltration - data analysis

1. This position is in the Biologics Purification Development team of the Product Development Science & Technology department at Client Bioresearch Center. The candidate will be involved with all aspects of protein purification and protein chemistry to support biopharmaceutical process development. Responsibilities, under the supervision of a Scientist II include:
2. • Execute high through put scale down robotic purification as part of early and late stage process development, viral clearance, process characterization, and continuous process improvement studies.
3. • Perform basic data acquisition and analysis, and documentation in electric lab notebooks.
4. • Will develop economical, robust steps for recovering the target protein from bioreactor harvests using chromatography, filtration, and other separation techniques; developing downstream purification processes to be transferred to manufacturing; and perform laboratory scale process characterization studies.
5. • Perform various bioanalytical assays, including HPLC, ELISAs and SDS-PAGE, to aid in rapid process development.
6. • The candidate must possess strong written, oral, and collaborative skills in order to effectively communicate experimental procedures and results.
7. • As appropriate, the candidate may supply technical support for pilot and/or GMP manufacturing of clinical materials.
