Client Vertical: Fintech - Digital Assets

Role: Senior Product Counsel - Crypto

Location: New York, NY/Remote East Coast

Our client, a profitable, high-growth FINTECH business, is looking to strengthen its in-house legal team with an experienced product counsel. This position will be a senior member of the governance team - with stakeholders across the business looking to the right individual to be a trusted advisor sitting alongside the product, sales and strategy teams.

The mandate includes the ownership of all new crypto products the firm is taking to market.

Partnering with stakeholders across the business, you will take ownership of key mandates including product development and markets' counsel for both the domestic US market, and internationally based institutional clients.

This role is open to candidates on the East Coast of the USA - with a strong preference for candidates to be located in the greater New York area.

Requirements:

• 6-10+ years' PQE - qualified for the NY Bar highly desirable
• Strong private practice and in-house credentials within fintech and/or digital assets and high growth tech firms
• Demonstrable track record of product development in digital assets and the broader DeFi ecosystem
• Deep understanding and track record across crypto related Intellectual Property negotiations and agreements
• Broad understanding of evolving regulatory and compliance requirements across CTFC, FTC, CFPB, GDPR, BSA, etc.
• Demonstrable interest and track record in crypto and broader DeFi - minimum 4 years' in-house
• SME in a broad range of securities - especially the Advisers Act (1940) and Investment Company Act (1940)
• Crypto/digital assets product experience/SME is highly desirable
• Commercially aware

NB: the client will not offer sponsorship for this role.

For applicants in CA, CO, NY and WA the base salary range is from US$210,000-$275,000 per annum
