Overview

The Senior Procurement & Contracts Manager is responsible for leading the organization’s strategic sourcing, supplier management, and contract lifecycle activities. This role partners closely with legal, operations, finance, and executive leadership to ensure procurement strategies and contractual agreements support operational efficiency, cost control, risk mitigation, and long-term business objectives. The ideal candidate brings strong procurement leadership experience with hands-on contract negotiation and administration capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Strategic Sourcing

  • Lead end-to-end procurement activities including sourcing, vendor selection, negotiations, and supplier performance management
  • Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with business goals, budget requirements, and operational needs
  • Drive cost savings initiatives, value engineering efforts, and continuous improvement across spend categories
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and service providers
  • Oversee purchasing policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance and consistency

Contracts Management

  • Manage the full contract lifecycle, including drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and administering supplier, service, and professional agreements
  • Partner with internal legal counsel on complex or high-risk contracts while independently handling standard commercial agreements
  • Ensure contracts align with procurement strategies, commercial terms, and risk tolerance
  • Track contract renewals, amendments, expirations, and compliance obligations
  • Support dispute resolution, change orders, and contract-related escalations as needed

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Partner closely with Operations, Engineering, Finance, Legal, and Project teams to support procurement and contracting needs
  • Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on procurement best practices and contractual considerations
  • Lead and mentor procurement team members, fostering accountability and professional development

Risk Management & Compliance

  • Identify and mitigate supply chain, contractual, and vendor-related risks
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and audit standards
  • Maintain accurate documentation, reporting, and procurement analytics

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or related field
  • 8–12+ years of progressive procurement experience, including senior-level sourcing and vendor management
  • Demonstrated experience managing commercial contracts and supplier agreements
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to balance commercial value and risk
  • Experience partnering with legal teams on contract review and governance
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior leadership
  • ERP and procurement system experience preferred
