Sr. Product UI/UX Designer – Hardware Experience

As the Sr. Product UI/UX Designer, you will have an exciting opportunity to:

  • Design world-class, intuitive user experiences that help users interact with and understand their shot data through a custom piece of hardware, ensuring seamless integration between hardware and software.
  • Develop design frameworks and interfaces that provide a cohesive and consistent experience across both physical hardware and software platforms (e.g., mobile, tablets, sim screens, desktops).
  • Collaborate closely with hardware engineers to design UI/UX that complements and enhances the physical hardware’s functionality, while ensuring usability and overall user satisfaction.
  • Create design concepts and prototypes that translate to physical interactions with the hardware, including button layouts, displays, haptic feedback, and more.
  • Conduct usability testing and user research to gather valuable insights into how users interact with the physical product, ensuring the design is optimized for real-world use.
  • Design for a variety of form factors, ensuring an optimal experience across different hardware designs and environments.
  • Work across multiple stages of ideation, from sketching, wireframing, detailed mocks, and prototypes, to validating and refining the product post-launch.
  • Actively engage with users to understand their goals, pain points, and how they interact with the physical product in different contexts.
  • Collaborate closely with other designers, product managers, engineers, and hardware specialists to bring the design vision to life.

You have:

  • A Bachelor's degree at a minimum.
  • 8+ years of design experience, with a strong focus on hardware/software integration, preferably in consumer-facing products.
  • Proficiency with Figma or equivalent, with an understanding of how UI/UX elements translate to both hardware and software interfaces.
  • Exceptional UI design skills, with a keen attention to detail, particularly in how users interact with physical devices.
  • A deep understanding of the user journey, both with the hardware and its associated software, and the ability to craft seamless, cohesive experiences across these platforms.
  • Experience leading UI/UX strategies across both software and hardware, ensuring consistency and quality across the user’s entire interaction with the product.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with hardware engineers and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, user-centered design solutions.
  • A passion for gathering qualitative and quantitative insights to better understand users and enhance their experience with both the product’s physical and digital components.
  • Participation in or familiarity with golf is a plus, especially as it pertains to the physical experience and user interaction with a golf simulation product.
