Job Description

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy of financial data, supporting the preparation of financial statements, and contributing to the overall success of the accounting team. This position requires excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including journal entries, general ledger accounts, and account reconciliations.
• Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
• Analyze account variances and provide appropriate explanations and documentation.
• Support the preparation of financial statements and management reports in compliance with company policies and industry standards.
• Assist in audits by providing requested documentation and explanation of accounting practices.
• Monitor and manage accounts payable/receivable functions and ensure timely processing of payments.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and relevant regulations.
• Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and address related inquiries.
• Support special projects and process improvements within the finance and accounting department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of accounting experience (internship experience is acceptable for entry-level candidates).
• Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Team-oriented mindset and excellent communication skills.
