Job Title: Purchasing / Supply Chain Analyst (Contract-to-Hire)

Location: Vernon, CA (On-site, 5 days/week)

Pay Range: $30-$35/hr

Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire

About the Role:

LHH is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Purchasing / Supply Chain Analyst to join our client's team in Vernon, CA. In this pivotal role, you will work directly with our Procurement teams in both California and Texas to support data-driven decision-making and drive purchasing efficiency. The ideal candidate is a collaborative problem solver with strong data skills and a passion for optimizing supply chain operations in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide analytical support to procurement teams to drive cost savings and operational efficiency
  • Develop and maintain performance metrics and KPIs to track procurement effectiveness
  • Extract, consolidate, and validate data inputs to streamline business processes
  • Analyze procurement and demand planning data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
  • Build and maintain predictive models and simulations to forecast demand and purchasing needs
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, purchasing teams, and external suppliers
  • Translate complex data into actionable insights for business leaders
  • Support continuous improvement efforts across procurement functions

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Analytics, or a related field
  • 1+ year of experience in supply chain analysis or data mining; experience in food manufacturing or CPG a strong plus
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with data visualization tools (Power BI, MicroStrategy, etc.)
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and multitasking abilities
  • Ability to manage time-sensitive projects and collaborate in a cross-functional environment
  • Continuous improvement mindset and ability to influence process enhancements
