Attending Physician - PM&R | Inpatient & Outpatient

Nassau University Medical Center is seeking a full-time board-certified or board-eligible PM&R Physician for a rewarding opportunity to treat patients in Nassau County. We are looking for a dedicated physiatrist to join our rehabilitation medicine team.

In this role, you will:

• Serve as an attending physician for an inpatient rehabilitation unit and provide outpatient follow-up.
• Train and supervise residents.
• Evaluate and treat patients with a wide range of conditions, including stroke, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, and orthopedic injuries.
• Provide non-surgical management of pain and spasticity using medications and injections.
• Utilize electrodiagnostic studies (EMG/NCS) as needed.
• Lead an interdisciplinary team, including physical, occupational, and speech therapists.
• Collaborate with primary care physicians, neurologists, and surgeons to coordinate care.

We require:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
• Successful completion of a PM&R residency program.
• Board certification or board eligibility in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
• Medical license in New York (or eligibility for licensure).
