Job Description

Granite Commercial Real Estate, LLC is currently looking to hire a Base Records Manager on a full-time, permanent basis in support of Hanscom Air Force Base government contract. This position must be performed 100% onsite at Hanscom Air Force Base in the Bedford/Lexington, MA area and requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret level security clearance. Active Secret clearance desired/nice to have.

Work Hours: Typically, Monday-Friday 0730-1630 (7:30AM-4:30PM), excluding holidays

Pay Rate: $32.00 / hour

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the operation of the Air Force Records Information System (AFRIMS) including dates of trainings, tracking and results, changes to and approvals of inventories of records and user profiles. Maintain all records, files, documents, and work papers generated and disposed of per AFRIMS, Records Disposition Schedule. Review of inventory of record, logging required changes, and ensure changes are completed. Maintenance of the Records Management SharePoint site. Accountability of records shipped/retrieved and returned to NARA utilizing SF 135’s.
  • Conduct in person self-assessments of offices/units physical records. Utilize Self-Assessments to review unclassified and classified records to ensure they are being properly structured and maintained in accordance with applicable instructions, including the Air Force ERM Solution Guide, and disposed of in accordance with the Air Force Records Disposition Schedule.
  • Receive, manage, assign, track, and respond to requests for record searches utilizing Network Operations Element (NOE) to conduct searches on the base network using the search criteria provided in the records search details in AFRIMS. Provide system administration support for base network drives to with proper security measures. Develop, conduct and track all required records management training for unit personnel on local procedures and recordkeeping requirements. Prepare weekly status reports.
  • Serve as an alternate for the Lead/Site Manager and Primary Forms & Publications Manager during absence. Alternate tasks include the ability to perform public address system duties such as troubleshooting issues and replacing batteries.
  • Operate, maintain and provide mobile/portable sign-out capability of public address systems. Document destruction system and hard drive degausser/destruction duties to include daily equipment inspections, coordinate maintenance, repair, and equipment certification, scheduling appointments. Hands-on tasks for degaussing and destroying hard drives.
  • Create, review, edit, publish, maintain, and retire locally developed publications, forms, and visual aids. Assigning form control numbers and filing. Current and obsolete publications, forms and visual aids list maintenance.

Qualifications:

  • Must have active SECRET clearance, or ability to obtain.
  • Experience with National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) records. management policies and procedures and the Archives and Records Centers. Information System (ARCIS) preferred.
  • Experience with Air Force Records Information System (AFRIMS) preferred.
  • Experience with adhering to government contract reporting.
  • Proficient in Adobe and SharePoint software.
  • Experience in Giant Voice and other PA systems preferred.
  • Experience with document destruction and degaussing systems preferred.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Detail oriented; ability to work well on a team.
  • Exceptional communication skills, professional demeanor.
